Apex Gymnastics at Creative Minds

We offer weekly gymnastics classes on-site, taught by a local professional gymnastics coach from Apex Gymnastics of Almaden. These optional classes for 2-year-olds and preschoolers are offered at a significant discount compared to the same class at the gym. In gymnastics, children learn gross motor skills such as jumping, balancing, forward and backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels. It is an ideal beginning for any future sports or other physical activities.

Watercolor Classes

We also offer an optional watercolor class for preschoolers. This class is taught in small groups, once a week, by a volunteer who loves sharing his passion for art with the children. These classes focus on skills such as color mixing, holding and controlling the brush, and of course creative expression. This is a more structured opportunity than most of our creative art activties, and the children continue to amaze us with their work!

Future Opportunities

We are always open to new ideas and additional enrichment opportunities. These can be ongoing enrichment activities, such as those listed here, or one-time special events with guest speakers. Examples of recent guests include looking at veterinary x-rays, practicing soccer skills, meeting a new puppy, making a pizza from scratch, singing songs with guitar accompaniment, and learning about what nurses do.
